    15% Cabernet Sauvignon

Harvest : The grapes are harvested by machine, then sorted, destemmed, not crushed.

Vinification and aging: in small stainless steel tanks for 24 months.

Keeping time : 10 to 15 years.

Type of soil : clay-limestone, rocky subsoil, very thin soil.

Château Tifayne - Francs Côtes de Bordeaux

The delight of the Franks.

Subtil blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

​Grape varieties :
    55% Merlot
    40% Cabernet Sauvignon

      5% Cabernet Franc
Average age of the vines: 35 years

 

Harvest : The grapes are harvested by machine, then sorted, destemmed, not crushed.

Vinification and aging: in small stainless steel tanks for 24 months.

Keeping time : 10 to 15 years.

The soil remembers the sediments of the rivers and lakes from the region (the « Fronsadais molasses »)

Ageing: in oak barrels (20 % new per year) 12 months followed by one year in vats.
